Inter Lagos have recorded their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League victory, defeating nine-time champions Enyimba 1–0 in Aba on September 20.
The newly promoted Lagos club secured the win through Ezekiel Moses, who scored the decisive goal in the 18th minute. Enyimba pushed for an equaliser after the break, but Inter Lagos managed to protect their advantage until the final whistle.
The result is a major moment for Inter Lagos, who had suffered a heavy defeat to Sporting Lagos in their previous league match. Their victory at the Enyimba International Stadium gives the newcomers their first three points in Nigeria’s top division.
For Enyimba, however, the defeat leaves them without a point after their opening three matches of the 2026/27 campaign. The Aba club will now look to respond in their next fixture against Sporting Lagos.
